Tokachi Kamimura
Founder & Executive Director, VeritasChain Standards Organization (VSO)
Specializes in cryptographic audit standards, AI governance, and algorithmic trading transparency.
Tokachi Kamimura founded the VeritasChain Standards Organization (VSO) in 2025 as an independent international standards body dedicated to promoting transparency and accountability in algorithmic trading systems.
A recognized expert in RegTech, cryptographic audit systems, and algorithmic trading transparency, Kamimura-san developed the VeritasChain Protocol (VCP) v1.0 as the world's first open cryptographic audit standard for AI-driven and algorithmic trading. Previously led technical standards and product development in financial technology, bringing extensive experience in cryptographic systems and regulatory compliance frameworks.
His vision is to replace trust-based oversight with mathematically provable transparency, enabling regulators, auditors, and market participants to independently verify the integrity of algorithmic trading systems without requiring proprietary system access.

5. Press FAQ
Quick answers for journalists — designed to accelerate story development
Why now?
The rapid proliferation of AI-driven trading algorithms has created an urgent transparency crisis. Traditional audit methods cannot verify algorithmic behavior in real-time, and recent regulatory actions (SEC enforcement against broker-dealers, FCA scrutiny of algorithmic trading) highlight the need for cryptographically provable audit trails. VCP v1.0 provides the infrastructure to address this gap before it becomes systemic.
Why cryptographic?
Traditional audit logs can be altered, deleted, or selectively disclosed. Cryptographic hash chains (similar to blockchain technology) make audit records tamper-evident: any modification to historical data breaks the cryptographic chain and is immediately detectable.
This shifts the paradigm from "trust the broker's word" to "verify the mathematical proof" — enabling regulators, auditors, and clients to independently verify trading integrity without requiring access to proprietary systems.
How is it different from FIX / CAT / ISO 20022?
FIX Protocol is a messaging standard for order routing — it does not provide cryptographic verification of algorithmic decision-making or tamper-evident audit trails.
CAT (Consolidated Audit Trail) is a U.S. regulatory system for trade reporting — it focuses on post-trade reporting, not real-time algorithmic transparency or cryptographic integrity.
ISO 20022 is a financial messaging standard for payments and securities — it does not address algorithmic trading audit requirements or cryptographic verification.
VCP is the first open standard specifically designed for cryptographically verifiable audit trails of AI-driven and algorithmic trading systems.
Does VSO endorse brokers?
No. VSO does not endorse, recommend, or financially benefit from any broker, exchange, or trading platform.
VC-Certified status indicates only that an organization's algorithmic trading systems implement the VCP v1.0 technical standard for cryptographic audit logging. It is not a financial endorsement or guarantee of business practices.
Does VC-Certified guarantee financial soundness?
No. VC-Certified status verifies technical compliance with the VCP v1.0 audit standard — it does not assess:
- Financial stability or capital adequacy
- Regulatory compliance with securities laws
- Business ethics or customer service quality
- Investment performance or trading strategy effectiveness
Clients should conduct independent due diligence and verify regulatory status with relevant authorities (e.g., SEC, FCA, CFTC, ASIC).
6. Early Adoption
Pilot Deployments Underway
Early pilot deployments include a brokerage and a prop trading firm (under NDA). Reference implementations are currently in production testing.
Pilot partners remain confidential during implementation phase. Public announcements expected in Q1 2025.
