Encoding Trust in the Algorithmic Age
In financial markets, "trust" is no longer created by brand names or marketing. It is established only through cryptographic verifiability.
VeritasChain Certified (VC-Certified) is a technical conformance certification issued by VSO-accredited Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs) under the certification scheme governed by VeritasChain Standards Organization (VSO).
VC-Certified (VCP Conformance Certification) is a certification program where VSO-accredited Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs) verify and certify that your trading system, algorithm, or platform conforms to the rigorous technical specifications of the VeritasChain Protocol (VCP) v1.1. The certification scheme is developed and governed by the VeritasChain Standards Organization (VSO), an independent standards body.
This certification is fundamentally different from traditional "financial audits" or "operational audits." The CAB technically verifies through automated test suites whether the data generated by your system is signed, tamper-evident, and meets the time-synchronization and numerical-precision requirements of its tier.
"Verify, Don't Trust."
We don't say "trust us." We say "verify us."
VC-Certified is the technical passport that enables that verification.
Obtaining VC-Certified certification means making the following three elements cryptographically verifiable to customers, regulators, and the market
"Hindsight Trading" Made Detectable
In VCP-compliant systems, each recorded trading event is assigned a time-ordered UUID v7, hashed, and included in a Merkle tree whose root is externally anchored (hash-chain linking is optional since VCP v1.1). After anchoring, retroactive deletion or modification of the anchored data is detectable—even when made by database administrators.
This makes changes to anchored records that would "cancel inconvenient trades" or "retroactively invalidate profits" technically detectable.
Cryptographic tamper-evidence
Breaking Free from Black Boxes
AI and algorithmic decision-making processes (VCP-GOV) and risk parameters at that moment (VCP-RISK) are recorded and signed.
Customers and auditors who are given the records can inspect not just the resulting prices, but the recorded decision factors and the risk parameters in force at that time. The records show what the system logged, not whether a decision was correct. The public Explorer is a demo with sample data.
Recorded decision context
String-Encoded Values, Signed and Merkle-Anchored
Eliminates financial data's greatest enemy—"floating-point errors (IEEE 754 problem)"—through string-based strict numerical representation.
Furthermore, Ed25519 digital signatures and Merkle tree (RFC 6962 domain-separated hashing) technology make data integrity cryptographically verifiable.
Standard cryptography: Ed25519 signatures, SHA-256, Merkle trees
In an era where AI and algorithms execute trillions of dollars in trades, accountability depends on records that others can check. VC-Certified attests that the records a system produces conform to the VCP specification, so that auditors and counterparties can verify those records independently. It does not attest that the system's decisions are correct, fair or safe.
VC-Certified provides solutions tailored to the challenges of major players in the modern financial ecosystem
Dispel "Rug Pull" Suspicions, Rebuild Brand
The prop industry is currently facing a crisis of trust.
Benefits
Make slippage and payout decisions verifiable, providing evidence relevant to allegations of manipulation or unjust payment refusal. Use VCP logs to support dispute resolution with traders and reduce support costs.
Recommended Tier: Silver (Retail) / Gold (Institutional)
Tamper-Evident Records for Front-Running and Wash-Trading Reviews
Benefits
Make matching-engine event sequencing auditable with PTPv2 (<1µs) synchronized timestamps. Provide tamper-evident records relevant to investigations of insider market manipulation.
Recommended Tier: Platinum (HFT)
Make Best Execution Verifiable
Benefits
Produce evidence relevant to best-execution obligations such as MiFID II Article 27. Give customers tamper-evident records relevant to disputes over "execution rejection" or "quote price manipulation", supporting customer retention.
Recommended Tier: Gold / Silver
Bridge Between On-Chain and Off-Chain
Benefits
Anchor the Merkle roots of off-chain (CEX, etc.) event batches externally so that the batches can be verified against an independent timestamp. Zero-knowledge proofs are not part of the VCP specification.
Recommended Tier: Gold (API Integration)
Whether you're a traditional finance institution, a crypto exchange, or a DeFi protocol, if your business relies on algorithmic decision-making, VC-Certified provides the trust infrastructure you need to operate with confidence in an increasingly regulated and scrutinized environment.
VC-Certified assesses conformance across the VCP modules
Foundation Module
Essential event lifecycle, hash chain integrity, timestamp precision, and numerical accuracy requirements
Trading Operations
Complete audit trail for signal generation, decision logic, order execution, and position management
Governance & Compliance
Algorithm identification, decision factors and human-approval records (algorithm governance and AI transparency)
Risk Management
Recording of the risk-management parameters and controls in force, and of triggered controls, at event time
Data Protection
Data classification, pseudonymization and crypto-shredding of personal data
Chain Disruption Recovery
Recording of chain breaks and of the recovery actions taken (chain disruption recovery)
VC-Certified certification requires passing automated test suites for its tier. Every test marked critical must pass; results of non-critical tests are reported in the certification report.

Governance Disclaimer: VeritasChain Standards Organization (VSO) is the scheme owner responsible for developing and maintaining the VC-Certified certification scheme and the VeritasChain Protocol (VCP) specification. VSO does not issue certifications directly. All VC-Certified certifications are issued by VSO-accredited Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs). VC-Certified attests solely to technical conformance with VCP specifications and does not guarantee financial soundness, investment performance, or regulatory compliance of the certified entity.
