Proposed profile

VAP-LAPLegal AI Profile

Individual Internet-Draft -05Profile v0.6.0Revised 26 October 2026

An illustrative evidence flow

  1. RequestRecord the input and its context.
  2. AI outcomeLink the response, refusal or error.
  3. Human reviewRecord approval, changes or rejection.
  4. Evidence PackPackage records for later examination.

Three legal AI workflows

The proposed profile covers everyday points where AI participates in legal work.

Legal queries

Connect a submitted question with the response or other recorded outcome.

Document drafting

Follow a drafting request through generation and subsequent review.

Fact checking

Keep the verification request and the reported findings connected.

What the evidence records

A useful audit trail connects the work, the people and the supporting records. LAP describes how these connections can be examined within a declared scope.
